wen i covn up to 12 volt i use a intrnal resistor coil they make them for chrysler car,s. as for the oil i would not use a detergent oil because the oil system is not a full filter system, have a 1939 M and at the last overhaul 8 years ago turned the crank for the first time and then only 10-10, i would run 30 in summer 20 in winter,you have a very nice tractor,once you get it running you will love it
