Is the shaft in your PTO pump hollow? Some are, and if this is what you have, you can get a long, splined extension that slips on the tractor PTO shaft, and then the pump slides onto the long spline, which is long enough that it sticks through the pump enough that you can attach a PTO shaft to it to power an implement. It's kind of an awkward system, and probably not the safest, but it does work.
