I am aware that that a 606 is a six cylinder. That info is right in the name of the model. The number of cylinders has nothing to do with the lenght of the hood. You need to look at the space between the water pump and radiator on a 504 to understand that there is alot of wasted space there. I would never categorically say that the two hoods are not the same lenght without using a tape measure. If someone is having a hard time locating a 504 hood, he should consider all options.
