The 'fire crater' should go on the camshaft side - same as the numbered side of the rods. The domes fit into the valve recess in the head. Set one of the pistons on the head and see if the dome fits into the valve pocket. If that is good, it should be alright, but you will want to be sure. Once you have the motor mostly together, you can check for interference in the motor by setting the head on the block (without the head gasket) and slowly turning the motor over by hand. If the pistons do not hit the head, they won't hit it with the gasket installed either. In theory, you only need something like 0.050" between the head and the piston. In reality, you will probably have something like 0.35" On my H the domes measured about 20ccs and the valve recess measured around 120 ccs (my best recollection), so there should be plenty of room.
