Some of the lesser known changes were the ignition switch was moved to the electrical box. The fuse was moved to the left side of the box and the ignition switch to the right of the fuse. The voltage regulator was moved to the right side of the bell housing. The starter switch was taken off the stearing column and put on top of the starter with a pull rod for starting. Sealed beam head lights. Longer rear axels. Faster 2nd, 3rd & 4th gears. Horse power increase from 26.2 to 33.4 HP (according to Nebraska Tractor Tests). By the way, this hp could be increased to approx. 36 hp with IH Fire Creator Pistons. About the same hp as the Farmall M when it first came out! '54 Super H's had live hydraulics. Plus all the other changes listed in the link.
