A friend of mine who spent his entire working life employeed by 3M showed me how to apply decals. The mylar self adhesive decals should be applied with a water/soap solution. First clean the surface and then leave water/soap on the surface and apply the decals. The water/soap keeps them from sticking where you don't want them. When you have the decal in the exact location that you want it, use a plastic bondo applicator to squeegee the liquid from behind the decal making sure to get out any boubbles from behind the decals. This is the only way that I know to be able to move the decal around to the exact location that you want it, otherwise it will stick the instant that it touches any surface. GOOD LUCK
