Andy,
I have a McCormick parts catalog that has a listing for the Number 16 mower.
The books says it is for an A, B, BN, H, M and MD Tractors from 1939 on.
Manual doesn't have a # 12, but as I mentioned, the manual is from 1939 upward. Hope this helps ! Gary
