Andy: I just looked through the book 150 Years of IH by CH Wendel and here is what he said about the QA mower. The No. 12-QA mower was built from 1935 to 1941. It used no outside support wheel, but featured an improved lifting mechanism. It also had a "Quick-Attachable" design which permited one man to mount or detach the mower in minutes. Looks to me like it was just a number 12 mower with QA or Quick Attach. I am not familiar with this mower so I just repeat what Wendel said in his book.
