What is a good head worth? Just had mine, which I thought was pretty good into a good engine machine shop that has treated me right in the past, and they found a small crack and that it needs seats and valves. Estimate $450 - 500 to make like new. Engine ran good when I took it off, this surprised me. I was about to just bolt it back on and go, but I took it off when I found rust on the valve spring caps, and wondered about what lay below. Took it to the shop to check it out. I am restoring this 44 H which had been in my wife's farm since new for shows and parades - it won't work very hard. Thanks in advance for your advice. Chuck
