If the block has been welded, dont panic and walk away. Usually its no big deal. First check and see if its leaking currently, while running. See if its been recently cleaned. Indicating that the owner may be trying to conceal a leak that takes a while to appear. But a welded block is typical. If there is no oil i nthe water, and no water in the oil, its fine! Manifolds, mufflers, seats...all inexpensive parts that are easy to fix if broken. IF these parts are in rough shape, ask for a lower price! If the Transmision makes noise, loud rackety noise..id be concerend, cause while parts arent difficult to locate, they're a real pain to install.
