Welll!!! there were certainly a lot of interesting comments about this subject. I really didn't get the answer I was looking for and that was a definitive answer on what the S ahead of M or H means on the serial tag but I do know that I've spent a lot of hours on all of the tractors mentioned including the 856 (personally I think the M was more exciting)until the 1066 & 1466 but anyway I for one can tell the difference between all of them with that said I agree the antique tractor clubs should dedicate themselves to perserving the heritage of the brand to protect both the exhibitor and the viewer and make antique tractor shows more interesting. Shoot if it's that easy I'll just go out and buy an old H for $600 put some paint on it and put M stickers on it after all how insulting would that be? I guess if it was easy anyone could do it, right? That's supposed to be what it's all about.
