See the post above about 6-cylinder M's; then go to the Tractor Pulling forum and see the post about the truck engine (345), and then check out ChadS's 460H. I think that, under the torque of the V8's, the H transmission would be your safety valve; in other words, I think you'd probably damage the transmission before you got into other serious trouble because of the power. But that's just my opinion, and there are a lot of wiser and more experienced folks here than I.
