So the 300 is a runner finally! On to problem two. Ever since I got it, she's had an oil leak out of one of the weep holes underneath the TA casting. Right next to the PTO disconnect plate. Anyway, the TA works fine and doesn't slip. I can see where someone put some formagasket between the sections, so at some point she was split. Why "they" didn't use a proper gasket is beyond me. Anyway, what is the purpose of those two weep holes? Is there a gasket that keeps the gear oil out of the TA section? Can I plug the holes to end the leak, or will that ruin the TA? It only leaks when the tractor runs, and is enough of a leak that it should be fixed. Not a drip-drip-drip, but a drool if you will! Thanks, Zak
