It sounds like a fuel problem. Before you do too many things make sure that you are getting gas to the carburetor. Is the electric fuel pump working? You should hear it clicking with the key on. Another thing to check is the electric needle valve on the carburetor. It may have gone out and shut off the fuel supply, it is a spring loaded closed solenoid. You can hear and feel it click open when you turn the key on. You may have a piece of dirt in it or the carburetor. It doesn't take much to shut them down. Good Luck.
