It seems that adjusting the voltage regulator on the cub is very sensitive (6.0 volt system). I am presuming that the right contact (as mounted on the tractor) is the voltage setting. I am trying to adjust this to 7.0 volts but when tightning the screw that holds it causes it to go down to 6.5 volts or up to 7.5 volts. Right now it is adjusted to about 7.2 volts and it never seems to stop charging and the battry is bubbling H2 pretty good. The real question I have is the cutout the left contact and if so, is it adjustable and is there a certain way to adjust it so the battery does not over charge. I do not have problems of the battery going dead when the tractor is off. I got into adjusting this because the battery would not charge up much and found that the right contact adjusting screw was very loose. When I adjusted the voltage up from about 6.5 to 7.2 I have a really well charged battery and starts up really quick.
