If it is cast it can be welded. Find someone who knows how to weld cast and talks to you about preheating before welding and post heating after welding. Someone who just talks about nickel rod is a maybe but not guaranteed welder of cast. Preheat cast, use the correct rod and post heat after welding and you should be okay. Your part must be small enough to go in a preheat oven that can heat and soak the cast at the correct temp. and then post heat the weldment to releave stresses after welding. I have seen several cast parts on cultivators welded. Bill
