If this is a early 1486 with the gear hydraulic pump you could have an load valve that is not unloading most of the time they fail to load but they could fale to unload. If that is the case it will make the hydraulic oil get verrry hot. If this is the case the engine should be laboring when you are not using the hydraulics. If you have the newer tractor with the newer pump I don't know about it.
