M Starter Problem

Thanks again for all the great advice on the 3-pt hitch. Also, the posting on the wiring diagram helped me solve a problem that's been busting my chops for a year. Figures once I get the hitch on something else goes bad. Now it's the starter. It spins but doesn't engage the flywheel. My guess is the bendix (or whatever you call it) is "tired." Can I fix that or do I need to replace the whole starter? By the way, I must be a farmer -- I spend more time fixing stuff than I do farming!
