The 240 model would have the C123 and just a 4 speed (the 404's predecessor). The 404 should have a C135, 4 speed and could have optional high/low range or a direction reverser. The 240 doesn't have live PTO, and I don't think the 404 did either. Value is pretty subjective (what are you willing to pay, and he willing to take?); but it's in the ballpark. Things that bring it down are sheetmetal, tires, rims general amount of wear/abuse (especially on a loader tractor). Stan(VA).
