Mike - The generator ends cannot be assembled wrong....they are doweled to the frame and will go together in only one position. Could be your generator has the wrong sheave - should have a threaded adjustable pitch sheave similar to on the fan hub only smaller. Your best bet for a belt is your local hardware or mower shop. Buy sizes like an A32, A33 and A34, find the one that fits, then return the others.
