I got the new to me Woods 59 mower mounted this week. Mowed all my grass for the first time this season, now I'm looking for something else to do with all this extra time I have on my hands. That is after I get a few of the humps and hollows leveled out, in my grass. Many thanks to all you guys giving advise and input on the mounting of this mower, coming from a Farmall BN and going to a SA. Just one little question though. I have a 90 degree turn in belt coming from mower deck to flat idler. I have a 270 degree turn in belt going from V idler back to the mower deck. I have followed the various courses of the belt and everything is as diagram calls for. My thoughts are that the extra 180 degrees on that return side is a must, as there is no way to remove a 180 degree turn without a corresponding 180 degree turn in the opposite direction somewhere else on belt. Am I missing something? This mower was and is driven by the belt pulley shaft as opposed to pto shaft.
