Very simply your tractor's charging system is not charging the battery as it is supposed to Here's what I'd do: First replace the ammeter. A working ammeter will tell you tell you how the charging system is working. And if the battery is not being charged it will help you figure out why. Next give the battery a full charge (24 hours on a charger). Then check to see if the battery is holds a charge (will crank the engine after sitting a few hours). There's a good chance your battery has been ruined from going dead flat and then sitting in that condition. If the battery is questionable, replace it! Once you've got a working ammeter and a fully charged battery, use the troubleshooting flow chart (punch below) to determine the cause of your "no charge" problem. Good luck!
