Farmall H Low oil pressure

I'm just starting to investigate what is causing my low oil pressure. When started it's half way approx. 50 on the gauge. After warm up it drops to about 10. I read earlier on the message board to start out with the Gauge and then look at the oil pump and last the barring gaps. Now M.E.K don't go off on me just yet I haven't got out the parts shot gun (YET). My question is this. What goes wrong with the oil pump, and how hard are they to install? My motor doesn't smoke and doesn't knock when oil pressure drops. So my first task is to try the guage. Any suggestions?
