53 Super H Brakes

I have a Stage I 53 Super H that the brakes on one side just don't seem to grip, the pedal has a lot of free play in it. I have the opertaor manual and parts manual for it but I am told a service manual wasn't made for it. I am looking for instructions on how to adjust and/or replace the brakes anyone have any info?
