Typically shops charge by the number of cylinders/journals and not by the engine displacement. I just did a complete rebuild on a C123 (Super C). I found the best price on the rebuild kit for the bottom end from tractorkits.com. I paid $125 for a crank grind, the rebuild kit included rod and main bearings, I measured the crank myself and ordered the oversize bearings with the kit. This is usually cheaper than having the machine shop get the bearings. The head was $30 for cleaning and pressure test, $50 for valve grind and another $28 for new guides. The head was flat as a pancake so no mill job was needed. I had them fit the wrist pins to the rods, another $40. Make sure the bearing ends of the rods are still round, if not have them reworked, probably another $60 or so. To save a little I cleaned the block myself. I also had to replace the timing gears for another $180 and had the rockers refaced. Bottom line, if you do it right it add's up.

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
