M & W Gear Company, Heisler, and probably other companies offered an after market gear set for H's and M's that added four more speeds between normal 4th and 5th. Reverse was similairly accelerated but 5th was not. PTO and belt pulley speed were faster as well, probably bad news. The gears were useful for harrowing, rotary hoe, road work and _________.
