Fortunatly I haven't done that yet, but certainly heard about it several times. FWIW - on smaller tractors (Cub/A/B/C) I run a chain under the tractor back to the drawbar if it has to be towed. The C has a beefier front bolster, but still just the block holding it all together. I've heard so many horror stories that I don't even recommend a tow strap on the front of these tractors 'cause it leads to "Oh, go ahead a chain it just this once, I'll be careful"...
