Hi guys, never thought anything would ever happen like this. We have got an A, My younger brother and i wanted to get it going today, So i got on the M, he got on the a and we towed it, It ran for about 5 seconds then she stopped. So I said to my brother, Get on the M and i'll see if i can keep er goin. I made sure i told him to let the clutch out slow to make the chain tighten up. Well, guess what happened, he was letting it out slow then he popped the clutch. I told him to let it out SLOWLY. So he towed me back up the laneway, then he said, Whats that oil from? I got of the tractor and there was a crack. You know where you put the oil in the M's and H's, Well the crack started by that spot on the A and went down to the pan. What happed was, the chain was around the tube at the front about a 4 in pipe where the tie rods hook on to. The block , steering box and the tube are all conected, so when he popped the clutch it yanked everything and made the block crack. So i figured out today that you cant teach a person to tow, even after many times of explaining it. So i will tow from now on. Now, can a block be welded? if not how much would an other one cost? As a Friend of mine says. $H!! happens. This is Another learning thing!
