I don't know where you live as far as cold temps but I have had farmall's thatif they set thru cold winters without being run condensate will build up in the bottom of the pump when it freezes it will force the plate under the pump gears open a little. and you will lose most of the oil pressure I would look there first, make sure you shim it to spec when reassembling
