Cutting down a dead tree once. We had a rope about 25 feet up attached to my buds pick-up. I notched it and just got the saw started on the back side when I somehow sensed motion in the tree trunk. I pulled the saw and took off runnin, no good, got hit real hard in the head with a limb, near knocked me out. My bud had gunned the truck and broke the rope. 10 stitches in me but we both learned a big lesson. Wear a hard hat if felling trees and make sure you and your buds are on the same page as to the game plan, ya know. No matter what were pullin on.
