1. The date code that I saw was on the left side of the rear frame casting. It reads *5-25-Y*. Y stands for '53. Z='54. A='55 and so on. 2. It is probably not the original engine. Both the paint and the dipstick point to that fact. The engine probably an industrial engine and may have a "U" in its serial number. It may not even have a Super H bore. Check the upper right hand side of the block for more cast codes. Look for "C-1XX". The Xs will be numbers and the complete number will give you displacement. Should be C-175. Might be C-152 which is not "SuperSized". 3. Yes, you have a belly pump. The pump gets its power from the front of the transmission countershaft. The valve, reservoir, relief valve, and pump are all in one package. It puts out about 900 PSI. Don't know gallons per minutes but it might be around 8-10. IH has an external valve which can be added to give you double acting hydraulic power. However, any four-way open center valve will work.
