Did one YEARS ago on a Super M; this is what I remember: We jacked up the front of the tractor and removed the wheel assembly by taking out the 4 bolts under the front bolster. Then we took off the top of the gear box, removed the gears and the bolster shaft out throught the bottom. The bushing at the bottem was shot. I took a piece of cast iron - a pulley or something- (don't really remember what) that was almost exactly the same diameter as the bushing and ground a little off with a pedestal grinder. Dad picked up a long - 16" or so - 5/8" bolt and ran it throught the piece I had, then we blocked something across the hole for the bolt to pull through. I think we may have used a piece of the hitch from an old plow! I'm pretty sure we blocked the thing on the bottom with a couple of 2x4 blocks and used this contraption to pull the bushing out. I think we pulled it down from the top and out the bottom, but I can't remember for sure! Anyway, the bolt went up through the bushing, pulled on the cast piece, which was sliding inside the bolster and pulling on the bushing. We simply tightened it with a wrench from below and dragged it out. Putting the new one in was a similar experience, with lots of lubrication and patience. We may have even used the bolster shaft to pull it up into place, but I don't remember. This was all about 35+ years ago. Don't get in a hurry, and resist the urge to use a hammer!
