I have a Farmall A with the same seat modification that the A you are looking at has. It is an aftermarket seat that is much more comfortable than the original (more spring). The problem is that when they replaced the seat, they through away the serial number plate, so I had to rely on the engine block number to determine the year made. As one of the others said, it is similar to the H and M seat and uses parts from those seats, like the seat spring.
