Poul, on top of the fuel filter cannister is a nut which you can open, then you use the hand primer until fuel overflows out of it. You believe there is no primer, there is, I have one on mine but it is seized..so you can still prime the system by pouring clean fuel into the opening on top of the cannister until it is full to running over, then replace the nut. Next there is a vent screw on the pump to the right of the injector lines, remove this plug and prime or pour fuel in until it is full up, then put the plug back in. Finally loosen the four nozzle unions , kick the starter over briefly and this will let out any air between the pump and the nozzles, tighten the unions up and start up, hopefully you will have the air out. I have been lucky and only had to fill the fuel cannister at the top and that was enough to make the tractor run fine........good luck from Mike in Exter Ontario

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
