I don't know if we just had a bad engine or bad mechanics, but my Dad had to have the engine rebuilt three times within a few years before he finally gave up and let it knock. It appeared to be piston slap in the #1 cylinder. The old girl knocked like crazy, but ran for 10 years on the loader like that. Just last fall I found a DT360 out of an old bus on Ebay. We had it put in and it's a whole new tractor.
