CNKS: It is the 404 with that oddball dual range transmission or foreward-reverse drive. I have studied the IT manual, and I cant see that it will work any other way. Basically the same technology as our SA or SC with a two speed gear box in the torque tube, and you and I both know what would happen with that. I am familiar with the 444, I must admit a lot more familiar now that I know the real difference between US and Canadian (British) models. 444 is a nice little tractor in diesel. It starts far better than the older British diesels
