Hal,

Mine was doing the exact same thing, slipping going up a hill in 5th under hard power.

Come to find out, the seal at the rear end was leaking fluid up thru the pto tube and was saturating the T/A clutch because some idiot had plugged up the weep hole to keep oil from running out.

At the end of the day, mine took both clutches and a TA overhaul to the tune of $2144.

Hope yours is just a slipping clutch,
