How much oats should I buy?

I plowed up that 6 acre field today. My 400 was having fun. Going to disk it and drag it tomorow.
How many pounds of oats should I buy to use as a cover crop for my Alfalfa? I picked up 100 pounds of a Alfalfa/ timmothy mix today. Counter guy said that was what I needed for 6 acres. No one around here has oats. All the seed guys are out around here so will go hunting for some.
If you got some seed oats in Central MN let me know.
