The outer shaft, which is the live power shaft, usally is the one that needs to be replaced, especially on tractors that do a lot of PTO work. The inner shaft cannot be removed unless you remove the TA. Once you remove the live power shaft, you can replace the o-ring that seals the bearing cage to the clutch housing, and there are two seals (I think it's only two) that can be replaced.
