I pulled the covers off the governor today. All the linkage moves freely to the carb and down to the governor. I thought I would see something wrong that really stands out when I opened it up but in my opinion it looks pretty good. The top weight has wear at the pivot pin and i'm not really sure what that one is supposed to do. It just sits on the shaft all the time and nothing lifts it. Is this normal? Not sure what to do next. I am very handy mechanically and can fabricate some weird inventions so I could probably do something with this thing if I knew what to look for but I have never messed with one of these.
