Sounds like several things.
Clean the carb. flush the cooling system and change thermostat, check belts and tension. Check points plugs and timing. Check hydraulic fluid for water/foaming/low level, change if foamy or milky. Clean hydraulic suction screen. PTO problem might be a bent PTO engagement lever not allowing the PTO to fully engage. Good luck.
