Cut the filter open and look at the content. You will be looking for metal filings. They would be silver in appearance. If the filter is clean check to make sure that the O-ring behind the filter is installed correctly. If all of this checks out O.K. then get the hydualics up to operating temp by driving the tractor. Once it is up to temp then you can check to see how strong the hydros are by applying the breaks. These are opperated by the power steering pump and so they should work fine. If the hydros shows any sign of slipping, beware!!
