I put a small hydraulic jack on top of the piston ( used a big socket for a spacer first)then ran a chain over the top of the jack (I had to make an adapter to keep the chain on top of the jack) and hooked it onto the side rails on each side of the engine. I put pressure on the jack and walked away. every time I walked by it for the next day or so, I gave the jack a pump, pretty soon the piston freed up.
