Looking at the parts diagrams for the 140 and my C it looks like it is a tapered fit. There is a half-moon key on the shaft. The rockshafts are a little different between the 100/130/140 and the C but basically it looks like they are put together the same. Like you said, there probably isn't a good place to get a puller on there. Mayby a little pressure on the rockshaft and then a little tap on the end of the shaft. Gentle persuasion would be the key word.
