I'm thinking that you are both right. Thanks for the input.

Tonight, I took off the hood and got the old belts off, took off the muffler and the air cleaner, which was pretty gunked up.

I think that a general overall cleaning will do a world of good. With all the fluids fresh, I'll see how she fires up and runs.

There is a nice little drip from the sediment bowl area, so it may be sucking a little air, too.
