966 PTO Problem

I've got a black dash 966 that doesn't want to spin the PTO shaft. I'm side dressing my corn and the only thing it has to do is spin the vapor pump when filling from the nurse tank and it can hardly do that. I looked at the book and it doesn't mention an adjustment. Is there an adjustment? If not what am I looking at having to do? I've never run any hard load on the PTO since I've had the tractor, about 5 years. Jim
