I had to replace the front seal of the transmission on my C a couple of years ago. The main thing is safety. Be extra careful blocking up the front half of the tractor. My brother had a splitting stand for a 1466 that we used for the front half. Hard to believe that the C was about 9" thinner than the 1466!!! Bolted the slitting stand to the front. Used a floor jack under the rear end. We had the C split and back together in less than two hours. This included modifying the splitting stand to bolt to the C. Simple project. Safety first!
