I would like to know first of all what kind or type of mower you have ? I have a "mott mower" which has a couple hundred small 5" blades which attach to a main shaft which runs horizontal, perpendicular to the tractor. There are however other types of mowers, I believe called finishing mowers. Woods, as mentioned makes these and I believe they have 3 or 4 blades similiar to a normal lawn mower. I can only speek of the mott mower cause that is what I have. There are two main parts to it...the first is the actual mower, the second is the idler pulleys that attach to the drawbar. There is also a double belted pully that mounts on the shaft coming out perpendicular to the tractor. This leads to a double pulley on the "idler assembly, and then on the other side of that is a single belt pulley that goes off to the pulley on the mower. This last belt is crossed or in a "8" pattern in order to change direction.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
