Hi jerry, Did you ever get your tractor started?
If you didn't remove No1 sparkplug and hold your thumb over the plug holew while someome slowly
cranks over the engine. When you feel compression against your thumb stop turning engine and look to see where your timing mark is your damper pulley. When you locate the timing
mark on the pulley you should be the timing pointer. Rotate engine slowly until both the pointer and the timing mark on the pulley are aligned.

Remove your distributor cap and see if the
rotor points to No1 plug. If it does your distributor is in time. Check plug wires to the other cylinders. If rotor turns CW the next wire is to No3, then 4 and 2.

If the rotor isn't on No1, pull distributor and rotate rotor to the No1 position.
Do not move the engine while your're making this change. Good Luck, Hal
