If all the truckers were getting paid for was the fuel the truck used, then how are they going to pay for the truck? How are they going to pay for the license, or the insurance? How about the clothes he is wearing, or a meal every now and then? There are many more expenses involved in trucking than just paying for the fuel, and you want a tractor hauled 1,460 miles for $400.?
